We are a well funded, high-growth start up company aiming to disrupt and make history in the tunnelling industry and the wider world of engineering.
We have an immediate requirement to hire a strong team player to build and manage a team of experts in the field of swarm robotics.
The Role
The Head of Robotics at hyperTunnel will have proven technical leadership experience taking robots from concept through to production.

You will take on the task of building a team of expert engineers in the fields of Control & Animation, PLC development, Fabrication, AI & Machine Learning and Software Development.
The successful candidate will be exceptional, from a robotics background with:
- Experience of building and implementation of robot control systems
- Familiarity of running a fleet of robots or multiple drone control
- A deep understanding of machine learning/AI and control theory
- Visual computing knowledge
- Simultaneous localization and mapping (SLAM) experience
You are likely to have gained experience working within automated manufacturing, logistics or bespoke solutions. You will have an in depth knowledge of mechatronics, motor control, PCB design and embedded software development.

Qualifications

- PhD or Masters’ degree in a relevant field
- 10+ years in industry
- Chartered Engineer or similar
