We are a well funded, high-growth start up company aiming to disrupt and make history in the tunnelling industry and the wider world of engineering.
We have an immediate requirement to hire a strong team player to build and manage a team of experts in the field of Data & Software.
The Role
The Head of Data & Software at hyperTunnel is likely to be an accomplished Software Developer having already completed at least 2 significant projects incorporating architecture, design, development, integration, analytical models, smart automation/control and delivery of a data science platform. You will be able to specify and build a full software stack from infrastructure to software.
The Head of Data & Software at hyperTunnel is likely to be an accomplished Software Developer having already completed at least 2 significant projects incorporating architecture, design, development, integration, analytical models, smart automation/control and delivery of a data science platform. You will be able to specify and build a full software stack from infrastructure to software.
You will take on the task of building a team of expert engineers in the fields of Data Science, VR/AR Visualisation, IoT, Comms and Cloud Technologies. You will lead the data architectural elements of how the company collects, structures and uses data across the organisation.
You will conceive and design the data structures and integrations that will enable the rapid, efficient and effective delivery on all objectives across the company. In addition you will develop database solutions by designing systems, defining database physical structures and functional capabilities, security, back-up, and recovery specifications.
This role requires great communication skills for liaising with internal and external stakeholders.

- PhD or Masters’ degree in a relevant field
- 10+ years in industry
- Chartered Engineer or similar
