The Tunnel Boring Machine put away 

 

Across the Channel, a start-up proposes to inject a modified cement to form the walls of future tunnels, before hydraulic fracturing and evacuation of the cuttings.

A young British start-up intends to dig tunnels without a tunnel boring machine. “Our solution is faster, safer and less expensive than the traditional method,” said John Moreland-Lynn, director of development for HyperTunnel.
