Three of our engineering team have just returned from a workshop on practical injection, by BASF. The three-day event took place at The Hagerbach Underground Research Laboratory in Switzerland.

“The workshop was very relevant to the chemical injection techniques used in the pre-excavation structural preparation stage of the hyperTunnel tunnel-building approach,” said Patrick Lane-Nott, hyperTunnel Director of Engineering.

“It’s great to participate in such workshops in such a fantastic learning environment where the practical applications can be demonstrated in real-life conditions.”

BASF is a strategic partner of hyperTunnel in the in the supply of chemistry. The company has been instrumental in supporting hyperTunnel during its testing and Proof of Concept phases, providing unrestricted access to its expert team of chemical engineers and collaborating via regular meetings.
