hyperTunnel has further expanded the depth and breadth of the underground-construction expertise on its Technical Board with the appointment of three well-known figures from leading companies in the industry.

Mike Devriendt is an Associate Director at Arup, leading on major multi-disciplinary infrastructure projects such as HS2, Crossrail and Thames Tideway. As well as advising on areas such as tunnel design, impact assessment, site investigation and laboratory techniques, he also leads Arup’s involvement in collaborative research into computer vision camera techniques and data analytics for engineering applications.

Gustav Jahnert is the Innovations Manager at BAUER Technologies Ltd. He has ten years’ experience with Bauer, as a senior project manager and has worked in the UK, Canada, France and Germany.

François Pogu is Managing Director at VINCI Construction Grands Projets UK, which designs and builds major civil engineering structures and buildings. Major projects include the construction of London’s Lee Tunnel, which set new productivity records under Pogu’s leadership.

hyperTunnel’s Technical Board meets monthly to steer, monitor and challenge the output of the company’s engineering development team and broker relationships across the geotechnical engineering industry.
