hyperTunnel’s Jeremy Hammond gave a keynote speech at the 18th World Conference of the Associated Research Centers for the Urban Underground Space ACUUS 2023 in Singapore last week (November 1st to 4th).

Organised by the Society for Rock Mechanics & Engineering Geology (SRMEG), the main theme of the conference was “Underground Space – the Next Frontier.” This theme recognised underground space as a strategic resource that provides unprecedented opportunities for simultaneously improving urban infrastructure, urban livability, and resilience.

Jeremy’s presentation entitled “Here Comes the Swarm” explained hyperTunnel’s swarm construction methodology, which employs robotics and AI in underground construction.
