hyperTunnel has won a 2023 Building Innovation Award for the ‘Best Use of Robotics in Construction’.
The awards recognise and celebrate the individuals, organisations and partnerships that make the UK construction industry the best in class. They showcase pioneering technologies, approaches and projects that deliver a greener, smarter and safer built environment for all.
The judges said that hyperTunnel is a pioneering development for underground construction. It really was “an impressive example of securing funding for innovation”. This example of robotics on a project really showed “world class innovation that ensures the UK leads as a global player in infrastructure”. High praise indeed.
The awards were presented at a gala dinner and ceremony on 12th October 2023 at the Kimpton Clocktower Hotel, in the centre of Manchester.
